Leaving school at 16 to become a tradesman 'roofer', Technical Manager at 28 and at 45 years old I am still serving the roofing industry.

Every rep has his own way of running his business, of differentiating himself from the competition – what do you consider your biggest differentiator in your market – what makes you special?
Commitment to our clients is our biggest attribute, and I pride myself in always doing the right thing for our customers. My work ethics are simple, don’t commit to anything that you can’t deliver and If you say you are going to do something, then ensure that you do. In essence, do what you say. I will always go one step further than the competition in order to ensure the customer is fully satisfied, and that he sees no reason to use anyone else other than Garland when specifying future roofing projects.

Greatest achievement to date with Garland?
Through Garland I have been able to achieve the true meaning of customer service which is invaluable in today’s market place.

Anything else to share that would help prospective customers understand and appreciate the value of developing a consultative relationship with you?
Garland have many products within there portfolio, but by far the best product is our service, which I truly believe is the best in the industry. I would like to say that once a prospective customer uses Garland and myself for the first time, his project is in safe hands. When dealing with Garland on a roofing project, you will only be dealing with myself on that project. From the initial roof survey, to on-site progress reports, to issuing of the guarantees. One rep, one phone call and most of all knowing that your roof is in good hands.
