Condition Improvement Fund
so What exactly is CIF?
The Condition Improvement Fund is an annual bidding round for academies and sixth-form colleges to apply for capital funding. The main function of the fund is to address health and safety issues, building compliance and poor building condition. Successful projects are those that are able to demonstrate the urgency of the project whilst aligning with the priorities as set by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (EFSA).
Over the last 7 bid rounds the Garland Company have enjoyed a market leading success rate for over 700 successful bids!

Due to the anticipated demand for the CIF fund, only applications which closely align with the CIF policy priorities are expected to be successful. For 2021/22 the EFSA have stated that bids will be favoured from those applicants able to display strong governance and good financial management.
